We take a look at 16 players that could be on their way out of Stamford Bridge this summer, either on-loan or permanent deals.
Chelsea currently own one of the most able and vast squads in world football and with lots of supporters predicting a few names coming into Stamford Bridge this summer, it looks even more likely that 15 or more of the current Chelsea playing staff could be on their way out this summer.
We take a look at the 16 names we fancy Chelsea to make available this summer and analyse where, and why they might go.
1) Patrick Bamford
2) John Swift
3) Lewis Baker
4) Todd Kane
5) Thorgan Hazard
6) Kenneth Omerou
7) Ashley Cole
8) Josh McEachran
9) Victor Moses
10) Oriol Romeu
11) Marko Marin
12) Sam Hutchinson
13) Ryan Bertrand
14) Billy Clifford
15) George Saville
16) Nathaniel Chalobah
A number of the players on the list have already been out on loan this season and in the sense of distriupting the first-team there is really only Ashley Cole that is likely to be a notable miss from Jose Mourinho's first-team selection. Nevertheless, a few of these 'first-team' Chelsea players are likely to come to a permanent stop on their stay at Stamford Bridge.
Marin, Hutchinson, Kane, Bertrand, Romeu, Moses and McEachran are all likely to be made available for permanent moves away after failing to keep their Chelsea careers alive.
McEachran and Moses, in particular, have become undone by their disappointing loan spells at their respective clubs. It means both players are likely to be considered even further away from the first-team than they was 12-months ago and even more likely to move on a permenent deal.
For Bertrand, Hutchinson, Marin, Kane and Romeu on the other hand, you could argue the writing as been on the wall for the past 12-months at the very least.
As for the younger players, there are two more names to join the promising loan stars in John Swift and Lewis Baker, the midfield partnership for the Chelsea development squad.
Patrick Bamford will undoubtedly be the one to watch this summer as he will undoubtedly join Derby County regardless of what division they're in and the Middlesbrough loan duo Omerou and Chalobah could easily stay in the North East for a second spell.
Clifford, Saville, Baker and Swift are players that could earn themselves Championship-level moves, whilst Hazard will most likely have a good selection of teams from abroad and perhaps even some Premier League sides.
Ashley Cole, as discussed, will be the most noticeable miss off the list, as it looks as if a move to another Premier League club could be on the cards with Tottenham and Liverpool both reportedly interested.
The 16-players mentioned could only be the tip of the iceberg, and could lead to even more names flying out the door dependent on the demand. Lukaku and Piazon will be two to keep an eye on as they could potentially move from Stamford Bridge this summer, one way or another.
