Rockstar working to bring new PS4/Xbox One title by March 2015

GTA Five

The GTA studio will ship a new 8th gen game by next year but what it will be we can only guess for now.

The news of Rockstar’s next-gen mystery title came from their parent company Take-Two Interactive in a earnings call transcript to investors.

“Rockstar Games is hard at work on their upcoming lineup, and we’re excited about what they have in store for the new generation of systems this fiscal year,” said Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick. The current fiscal year is set to end on March 2015 so we can expect to see the new game by then.

No details of the title under wraps were revealed and with Rockstar yet to confirm whether they’ll be at E3 there’s no immediate hints as to what we can expect.

With GTA V shifting 33 million copies on consoles a PS4/Xbox One port looks like a solid plan. A Red Dead Redemption entry on a Windows 8.1 compatibility list could also point to a new open-world Cowboy sim.

Back in 2009 Rockstar were working on a espionage themed action title called Agent which at the time had Rockstar founder Sam Houser saying "Agent is a game we have wanted to make for a long time,” although this game never materialised Rockstar haven’t said it’s officially cancelled.

Last year Rockstar trademarked the title Bully Bullworth Academy: Canis Canem Edit, meaning there may be a Bully 2 coming. And,what about next gen Max Payne?

What do you make of the news and what title do you think Rockstar are secretly working on? let us know in the comments.
