Whoever said that referees don't have a sense of humour better be prepared to be amazed.
During last night's outstanding testimonial in honour of Tottenham legend Ledley King, tough guy ref Howard Webb had clearly had enough of all those years of watching others play football and decided to showcase his own silky skills.
But just as Webb had taken it upon himself to do a bit of ball dribbling, German midfielder Lewis Holtby came scything through the back of him in a not too legal attempt to win the ball, much to the delight of the watching Spurs fans.
The challenge sent Webb flying, somewhat theatrically one might add, before the 2010 World Cup final official got to his feet and headed for Holtby for a bit of retribution. Spurs assistant boss Steffen Freund, playing for King's Guest XI tried to stop Webb but didn't manage to prevent a retaliatory shove in the back of the recent Fulham loanee, which once again produced a swan dive.
Thankfully, the whole episode was all played out in good fun, while the match itself finished up 6-3 to King's side, with Tim Sherwood managing the Spurs team just hours before he was relieved of his duties.
Below we have video of the incident - we wonder what Webb will do next time he sees a player take a tumble a little too easily.
