Turkey more likely than Italy for Eto'o

It would appear that Samuel Eto'o could be headed for Turkey after the World Cup rather than Italy, according to the latest reports.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has heavily implied that Samuel Eto'o will be looking for a new club in the summer and rumours he could return to Inter have been overtaken by Turkish links.

It has been reported that Mourinho vented his spleen at half-time of Chelsea's 0-0 draw with Norwich, which proved costly to their title bid.

Eto'o is said to be one of the players who was targeted and he may have been told not to even bother showing up to training for the final week.

The two men have fallen out on several occasions this season and Mourinho even joked that Eto'o may be older than he says.

A tweet from Chelsea quoted Mourinho as stressing that Fernando Torres would be staying at the club while Eto'o's contract will be over.

Eto'o may opt to go to his record-equalling fourth World Cup with Cameroon before he decides where he will play next, but reports suggest it will be Turkey.

In Italy it is suggested that Galatasaray and Besiktas are both interested in snapping Eto'o up, while Inter are less keen.

Inter are reportedly focussing their attentions on Edin Dzeko, Roberto Soldado and Alvaro Negredo and would see Eto'o as a step backwards.

Eto'o played for Inter between 2009 and 2011 scoring almost a goal every other game and winning Serie A and the Champions League in Mourinho's team.

French giants Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked to Eto'o but as yet no formal approaches have been made.
