Heurelho Gomes may seem to many like a name from a Tottenham team of seasons gone by, but throughout the season he has remained contracted to the club.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper signed from PSV back in 2008 and impressed with his shot stopping ability, only to wear out the frustrations of fans and manager at the time Harry Redknapp with a series of high profiles gaffes.
With Brad Friedel, Hugo Lloris and Carlo Cudicini all in front of him at various points since, Gomes has not featured for Spurs over the past two seasons.
His contract is set to expire next month, and with players departing for the summer, it's apparent he may have said his final goodbyes.
One player sad to see him go is compatriot Sandro, who is a big pal of the goalkeeper.
He posted the following message on Instagram last night along with the photo above:
"I would like to thank this amazing professional,@hdgomes but most important, this amazing man for everything he has done for me during these 4 years! Today it was his last day, but I've gained a brother for the rest of my life! I will truly miss you... Obrigado IRMÃO."
