Liverpool’s Luis Suarez took to Facebook on Monday to thank fans for their season-long support.
The Uruguayan, who has won the PFA and PFWA player of the year already, has been awarded the Golden Boot for scoring 31 league goals this season.
Suarez, who missed the first five games of the season through suspension, has redeemed himself somewhat throughout the current campaign.
In the same week a year on from biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic, he proved he has put his demons behind him as he was awarded with top flight’s most prestigious individual accolade.
In his heart-felt post, Suarez give thanks to the Anfield faithful who have provided their full support throughout a roller-coaster campaign.
The club missed out on the Premier League title by just two points, having experienced a lapse in form during the title run-in.
Nevertheless, a victory over Newcastle on Sunday concluded an exciting year for all involved with the Merseyside outfit, who find themselves returning to Europe’s elite competition for the first time in half a decade.
Suarez has been linked with a move away from Anfield in recent days, with Barcelona and Real Madrid rumoured to be chasing his signature.
The Golden Boot winner will no doubt have his allegiance tested throughout the summer, but Brendan Rodgers will be desperate to keep his star man.
