A round up of news stories this morning about Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on making a £20 million offer for Barcelona winger Alexis Sanchez.
Sanchez has consistently been linked with the Nou Camp exit door throughout the past season and he could fill a problematic left midfield position for the club.
The Daily Star claims Arsenal are ready to offer the player a fresh start in English football.
Arsenal will be wasting their time if they go after a deal for Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck.
Welbeck has been suggested as a possible attacking addition to the Arsenal squad this summer but Ryan Giggs has revealed the player won’t be leaving Old Trafford.
“We won’t be selling him - We wouldn’t like to lose someone like Danny because he has done that, he has been here since eight or nine. So we want to keep him,” Giggs is quoted by the Daily Star.
The Gunners have received another transfer blow in the form of Josip Drmic who has sealed a move to Bayer Leverkusen.
Drmic has bagged 17 goals in 33 games for Nurnberg over the past year, attracting interest from Arsenal and several other top European sides.
However, he’s taken the decision to stay in the Bundesliga which means Arsenal miss out on an extremely talented player.
