Karim Benzema's future at Real Madrid remains uncertain, with reports emerging they are ready to cash in on the talented Frenchman.
He currently has one year remaining on his deal at the Bernabeu, and a report in The Mirror last night suggested the Spaniards are ready to cash in on him.
The paper surprisingly named Manchester United as possible suitors in a deal which would cost around £30 million, but perhaps we should not buy into that just yet.
That's because of comments issued from his UK representative last month, which dismissed such a possibility out of hand.
"I know he is watching the Manchester derby with interest however. Manchester United will be a no-go area for the player as he has refused them four times over the years"
That appears to be a clear rebuff in advance of any United enquiries, a team for which he is a poor fit, owing to strikers already at Old Trafford.
United attempted to sign him in 2009 before he signed with Real Madrid, and this is one deal which can likely be consigned to the Transfer Bin before the window even opens.
