Wesley Sneijder proved he's still got it with this strike on Sunday.
The Dutch international has long been a player constantly linked with a move to Old Trafford by the press, as Sir Alex Ferguson was known to be a massive fan of the former Inter Milan and Real Madrid midfield dynamo.
In February the 29-year-old, who moved to Galatasaray in January 2013 for €7.5 million, even claimed United had moved for him once again in January of this year - continuing an interest that has reportedly been present since his time at Ajax:
"There were clubs who wanted to sign me like Manchester United but I have no intention of leaving and my club have no intention of letting me go. Leaving in January didn't even cross my mind and the club have never told me to leave."
Now, with LVG all set to take over at United, reports are growing that he could move to bring in his international star to the United fold.
But isn't Sneijder past it? Aren't his best days behind him? well not if you saw his goal at the weekend against Trabzonspor. Gala won the game 4-1 with Sneijder bagging a brace - including this sensational long range free kick. Maybe United should sign him after all.
