As Manchester United eye up potential replacements for Nemanja Vidic, Ezequiel Garay's name continues to crop up.
The Argentine was strongly linked as a summer signing last season, and with just one year remaining on his Benfica contract, a transfer this time around seems likely.
The big question is who to, with Zenit, Napoli and Monaco also interested, and now a new name has been thrown into the ring.
Portuguese newspaper Record, which pushed the United rumours last summer, speculate that French champions PSG want the centre-back.
It's ominous news for United, given that PSG have denied United deals in successive summers for fellow South Americans, Lucas Moura and latterly Marquinhos.
They are not going to be outbid however, as Garay has a release clause of €20 million in his Benfica contract.
Instead PSG would attempt to outdo United in terms of wages, but given the amount United have paid Wayne Rooney, and are reportedly prepared to for Toni Kroos, given that Garay would cover a position of need at Old Trafford, he is likely to be offered a particular high wage.
A switch to United may be far simpler due to the fact PSG are presently at their limit in terms of non-EU players, which has led to talk previously that Lucas Moura or United target Edinson Cavani could even be players who are offloaded.
If PSG's interest turns out to be serious, United will have to speed up their pursuit of the Argentine international if they truly want him anchoring the heart of their defence.
