Chelsea fans react on Twitter to £32m Diego Costa deal - "Strikers don't succeed here..."

Chelsea have reportedly moved to bolster their strike force with a £32m swoop for Atletico Madrid star Diego Costa.

The Blues fell short in their bid to win the Premier League in Jose Mourinho's first season back at Stamford Bridge, with crucial defeats against Crystal Palace and Sunderland ultimately derailing their challenge for the crown, with Mourinho's men desperately lacking a goalscoring threat this season.

Many have expected Mourinho to go out and spend heavily to rectify that, with a number of world class strikers heavily linked with moves to West London, as Demba Ba, Fernando Torres and Samuel Eto'o struggling to contribute consistently this season.

Yet now, it seems like Mourinho has landed his primary target, with Sky Sports News reporting this evening that the Blues have agreed a £32m deal to sign Atletico Madrid striker Costa, who has been nothing short of a goal machine this season, scoring 35 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions.

The Brazilian-turned-Spaniard will be looking to lead Vicente del Bosque's side to World Cup glory this summer as well as winning the Champions League final with Atletico Madrid this month before seemingly heading to Stamford Bridge in a huge deal.

Chelsea fans were largely ecstatic to land such a big name, but some had doubts over how he will adapt to the Premier League. Here are a selection of tweets from Blues fans on the Costa revelation.
