Arsenal morning news: Wenger on Sagna latest, Gunners eye up N'Koulou

A round up of news stories this morning about Arsenal.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has suggested that Bacary Sagna will leave the club this summer.

The Gunners were harbouring hope that the French defender would sign a new deal and stay at the club, contrary to reports linking him with an exit.

“That is not close to being close. If he goes we have to accept it because he wants to go, only he can decide that now,” said Wenger.

TalkSPORT has suggested that Arsenal will look to strengthen the defence this summer with a move for Marseille’s Nicolas N’Koulou.

Arsenal were linked with the 24-year-old earlier in the season who plays predominantly as a centre-back.

He’s rated at around the £12 million mark, firmly within what Arsenal can afford.

Wenger says his side are nicely setup for the FA Cup final against Hull City this weekend.

The Gunners have secured five straight wins in the Premier League as they prepare to end the trophy drought which has plagued the club since 2005.

“We have won 11 games away from home, I think it’s the best in the Premier League. We just wanted to finish the season well and we did it in a serious way so it’s a good basis to prepare for the final,” said the boss.
