A game fit for a King: Ledley's 6-3 testimonial in pictures feat. Ginola, Teddy & Dazza

Tottenham WHL

Club ambassador and former star player Ledley King enjoyed a superb night as the club pitted a a strong team against a Ledley Guest XI in his testimonial.

A fantastic evening at White Hart Lane in celebration of Ledley King's Tottenham career saw stars of past and present turn out for Spurs, in what was a truly entertaining occasion.

Nine goals over the 90 minutes, the first of which was a penalty converted by King, ensured the packed stadium had an evening to remember despite the rain. The likes of former favourites David Ginola, Darren Anderton, Edgar Davids and Dimitar Berbatov turned out for King's XI, while present stars Michael Dawson, Sandro, Christian Eriksen and Lewis Holtby all took part for the Spurs team, who were managed by Tim Sherwood.

Before kick-off it was announced that King's quote on the club, "this is my club, my one and only club" was going up on the tier dressing at the ground.

The first half was a close contest, with King opening the scoring after he was taken out by a combination of Michael Dawson and Younes Kaboul. Emmanuel Adebayor soon equalised with his own penalty, before the guest eleven's dream attacking partnership of Teddy Sheringham and Dimitar Berbatov took over, with the former England striker scoring a double to put Ledley's side 3-1 up at halftime.

King played until the 55th minutes, coming off for Sebastien Bassong to rapturous applause, while the goals continued to fly in with young striker scoring Nathan Oduwa and Etienne Capoue scoring for Spurs. Ex French international Louis Saha, who came on at half time, kept the guest eleven ahead though, scoring a superb 45 minute hat trick to ensure a 6-3 result.

Afterwards, King took to the pitch to thank the fans and players: "Words can't sum up how I feel right now."
