Arsenal beat Norwich City 2-0 at Carrow Road in their final league game of the season, courtesy of goals from Aaron Ramsey and Carl Jenkinson.
The Gunners were good value for their win, having 63% possession and more shots on goal, but it was fitting that Ramsey netted the first, considering his importance prior to an injury that some feel determined the destination of the league title.
With doubts over the future of Bacary Sagna, Jenkinson could be featuring much more for Arsenal next season, and he showed what he can do not only in defence, but further up the field.
The former Charlton Athletic defender netted the Gunners' second with a deflected shot that condemned the Canaries to at least one season back in the Championship.
In truth, Norwich were down regardless of this result. But they could not muster one last win in what has been a hugely disappointing season following what appeared to be some very impressive summer spending.
