Sagna's revelation: “I don't think I'll stay at Arsenal”

The out of contract defender has stated that he is likely to leave North London this summer.

Bacary Sagna’s contract situation has been an ongoing issue for Arsenal over the last number of months, with the experienced defender’s deal expiring this summer.

The right-back has been a consistent performer for the Gunners over the years but is looking increasingly likely to leave the Emirates Stadium on a free transfer this summer.

With the end of the season upon us, Sagna has made a revelation in the French media – claiming that he is unlikely to pen a new deal with Arsene Wenger’s men.

"I'm out of contract, as everyone knows," Sagna is quoted as saying to

"I still consider myself as an Arsenal player at present.

"But actually we had a small problem to agree (a new deal), and I don't think I (will) stay at Arsenal at the end of the season."

Should the France international leave the club this summer, a new right-back will be Arsenal’s main transfer priority ahead of next term.

Manchester City and Fenerbahce have both been linked with a move for the defender in recent times.
