Arsenal go into the final game of the season knowing that Champions League football is secure yet again. And with the FA Cup final swiftly approaching, Gunners fans may feel both elated and distraught about the campaign that is about to come to an end.
On the plus side they have overcome a strong challenge from Everton to ensure they remain in Europe’s elite club competition for another year, and they are on the verge of their first silverware in almost a decade.
But then there is the fact that they topped the table for much of the season and yet can now finish no higher than fourth.
Norwich have won just one of their last 10 league matches, scoring just eight goals in that time, and it is that lack of fire-power which means they are destined to return to the Championship – even if mathematically they are still not officially relegated.
