United morning news: 21-year-old tipped for £10m exit; Giggs wants manager situation sorted

A select round-up of news relating to Manchester United

Manchester United will consider offers for Wilfried Zaha this summer according to a report from Goal.

The story claims United are prepared to accept £10million for the former Crystal Palace winger - £5million less than they paid during Sir Alex Ferguson’s time in charge.

Zaha was tipped for great things but has barely featured at Old Trafford despite playing a major role in David Moyes’ first pre-season.

Since then he has been sent on loan to Cardiff City, but the latest report suggests he is likely to return to the south of England should he move.

In other news, Ryan Giggs has been reflecting on his first three matches in charge at United in an interview with Sky Sports.

The Welshman will be interim boss for one last game tomorrow, before the club are almost certain to appoint Louis van Gaal as the next permanent coach.

Of the new boss – whoever that may be – Giggs said, “I think everyone is looking forward to an appointment. It’s been a disappointing season for us. When the manager situation gets sorted out, we can move on.”
