A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.
Gus Poyet has emerged as a candidate for the Tottenham head coach role after guiding Sunderland to Premier League safety.
Poyet’s Black Cats have secured a number of impressive wins in the recent past including victories away at Chelsea and Manchester United.
There is reportedly a clause in his contract which means he can leave Sunderland for nothing in the summer.
The Belgian forward has been suggested as the man to come into Tottenham’s attack over the summer.
A fee of £15 million has been suggested by the national daily, which is well within what Spurs can afford.
The same paper has also suggested that Sandro will now stay at the club after suggesting head coach Tim Sherwood will leave.
The pair fell out recently, which saw Sandro left out of Tottenham’s match day plans altogether.
“Sherwood will leave at the end of the season. Then it’s a new coach – a new everything! I am happy at the moment,” the midfielder told ESPN.
