Arsenal’s support base includes a rather interesting stat which could give the Gunners an edge in the transfer market this summer.
Arsenal enjoy the most support from millionaire’s all over the world (5.6%) than any other club.
It won’t be a major surprise to some considering the amount it costs to go and watch Arsenal play but it’s a small percentage the club could tap into the increase an already positive financial position.
The research, conducted by WealthInsight, shows that the Gunners are ahead of Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur with fans who are fortunate enough to enjoy seven figure plus fortunes.
It would be a rather bizarre sequence of events for the Gunners to have to draw on personal fans of some wealthy fans considering they have a reported cash reserve of around the £120 million mark.
What Arsenal would therefore be relying on for these fans to give them a nudge in the transfer market is good nature and wilful donations, which can be made to any professional football club.
Considering the recent fortunes of the side, it would hardly be surprising if a multi-millionaire fan decided to shell out a few quid to the club, demanding a top transfer in the process.
It’s a very big summer for Arsene Wenger and one he needs to get right in so many aspects as he tries to complete a Premier League and Champions League double next season.
