Major League Gaming: CoD Ghosts pro tour now underway

Call Of Duty Ghosts

If you’re looking for some world class tournament gaming action check out the teams currently battling it out in this years second MLG CoD Ghosts pro tour.

Want to watch the skills of the world’s best CoD Ghosts players? Following the $1m dollar World Championship in March the Major League Gaming pro tour season two is currently being held to determine the ten teams to reach the play-offs in June.

The competition will draw from two separate leagues:  the MLG Call of Duty: Ghosts League Season Two and the Gfinity Call of Duty: Ghosts League currently playing through their first season.

Eight teams will qualify from the MLG league, which containing several teams finishing in the top eight of the World Championship is looking like a tight group. 2014 World Championship winners CompLexity are in the mix with respective 2nd, 3rd and 4th place teams, EnVyUs, OpTic Gaming and Strictly Business all battling it out. Amateur CoD gamers have been drafted in to the MLG league for the first time this year drawing from players in the Top 250 on the NA Ghosts Xbox Pro Points Leaderboard.

The top two teams from the Gfinity league will not only qualify for the MLG championship play-offs but will each take a cool $2500 in prize money. In the running in the Gfinity league are UK based team Epsilon who’s captain we interviewed earlier in the year. Epsilon were the highest placed European team in last years world championship finishing in sixth.

Four versus four match-ups are taking place throughout May and June. To catch up with the MLG league action head to MLG tv or get the MLG app for Xbox 360, IOS or Android.

You can follow the action from the Gfinity League here.

The finals for the season tour will take place in Anaheim California between June 20-22 with a prize pot of $70,000 for the winning teams. We’ll be keeping you posted as things develop. Please use the comments to share your thoughts on the competition, which team are you getting behind?
