If Liverpool want to sign Keita Balde Diao from Lazio they may need to act quickly or they risk getting embroiled in a bidding war.
Lazio signed Keita from Barcelona for just £200,000 after he fell out with the club who believed him to be a trouble maker after a prank he played on a teammate which involved putting an ice cube in his bed.
The Eternal City side now look set to make a massive profit on their investment should they choose to sell Keita in the summer.
Keita, who is of Spanish and Senegalese descent, has had a breakthrough season in Serie A and has four goals to his name as well as some impressive assists.
The player's agent has revealed that Liverpool are just one of the clubs who would like to sign Keita and could make a move in the summer.
"There have been other teams as well as Liverpool coming to watch him lots of times. Keita is clearly one of the most appetising players in his position in Europe.
"In England there would be problems with his passport, but we are waiting for news about his Spanish citizenship and we are confident that will be sorted by July. It's all done, we are just waiting on the ministry."
Lazio are in the process of extending Keita's contract until 2018 and giving him a significant pay rise, but that may be a measure to ensure they receive bigger bids from his potential suitors.
"We have completed a contract renewal until 2018," Savini said. "And we have promised to review the contract each year.
"I don't know that Keita has to leave but Lazio have traditionally been a club who listen to advantageous offers. A lot of the interested clubs could make bids that Lazio would listen to."
