A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.
The agent of Croatian youngster Andrija Balic has confirmed Tottenham have started talks to sign him.
However, his agent, who also happens to be his father, has also suggested that he and his wife would like their son to stay at Hadjuk Split.
“We're not obstacles for the transfer, but my wife and I would most like it if Andrija continues to evolve his football at Hajduk,” said Ivica Balic.
Tottenham midfielder Paulinho has been included in Brazil’s World Cup squad for the tournament this summer.
He beats the likes of Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho into the squad and will have the chance to play in front of his home crowd.
Paulinho has been in and out of the Tottenham side over the second half of the season under Tim Sherwood.
Tottenham legend Ossie Ardiles has blamed the players for this season, not head coach Tim Sherwood.
Tottenham’s objective was fourth place and Sherwood is reportedly going to be axed for failing to deliver Champions League football.
“I believe that the players we have bought in this season have been the problem. They are not performing the way we expected,” said Ardiles.
