Liverpool & Chelsea face Euro competition in battle for £20m Brazilian

Premier League sides, Manchester City included, could become embroiled in an auctioning process for Hoffenheim star.

A forward who could potentially be available on the summer transfer market, and is reportedly wanted by Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea, has attracted even more interest in his services, according to Bild, who also list Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid as viable destinations for Hoffenheim asset Roberto Firmino.

Bild mention that in previous reports it appeared likely that Firmino, a 22-year-old attacker responsible for an extraordinary 15 goals and 11 assists in the Bundesliga, would sign a contract extension, keeping him with the Kraichgauern until 2017 - but a move to one of Europe's elite clubs now "seems possible".

Firmino has a market value of £13m according to transfermarkt.co.uk, but may require a fee of anywhere up to £20m to be tabled in order to convince Hoffenheim to sell one of their hottest prospects.

The Brazilian has been responsible for producing a goal or supplying an assist every 108 minutes he is on a Bundesliga pitch.

While he only has a passing accuracy of 75%, he has created 67 clear-cut goalscoring opportunities and his dribbling ability is underlined by his 144 dribbles statistic in the season to date.

While Premier League audiences may be wowed by his finishing instincts, his close control, his layoffs and his understanding of the pass, he does not neglect his defensive responsibility as he has a high contribution in the first third, hauling in 81 tackles thus far.
