Wojciech Szczesny has endured a mixed season.
At the start of the campaign, if Arsenal had been offered Champions League football for yet another season with a guaranteed FA Cup final appearance, then most - if not all - Gunners fans would have been delighted with that outcome, however, after leading the Premier League for so many months those same supporters may be wondering what could have been.
Fourth place is not a trophy. It would never be paraded around North London and it cannot be placed behind glass in a hall of fame, however, regardless of that, the achievement has been acknowledged by two friendly neighbours of Gunners glovesman Szczesny, who congratulate the Pole on his team finishing above the Spurs again.
They sent a card to the 24-year-old, it said: "Dear Wojciech, well done on Champions League qualification and finishing above us (again!). We hope to have a hapier season in 2015. Until then, your Spurs neighbours Grant and Ryan. PS - We forgive you for your selfie and good luck for the FA Cup and Golden Glove."
Szczesny was made up over the gesture and posted the photograph to his Facebook account with the caption: "Wow, this is class from my neighbours!"
