Manchester United spent big in January to try and stem the flow of a poor season, with Spanish international Juan Mata arriving for a monster fee in the region of £37 million.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho never warmed to Mata - who as an attacking inspiration was always a sought after commodity but whose defensive skills were highly questionable at The Bridge.
But the early signs are promising for Mata at Old Trafford - and after a successful month in April he is once again celebrating an individual accolade.
Mata, who has already won the award for February, has been named the Manchester United Player of the Month for April - beating off competition from Phil Jones and Shinji Kagawa after online voting.
He has taken to social media to thank fans for voting, including this Tweet accompanied with a picture of him holding the award.
Mata had a decent April - scoring four goals in three appearances and United fans will be hoping that in a full season with the club there will be plenty more awards coming Mata’s way next season.
