Reclaimed Territories is bringing new weapons, multiplayer maps and an added difficulty mode for the single player
Rolling out on PSN this week will be the final season DLC drop for The Last of Us. The content will be free to season pass holders or available as a series of standalone purchases. Naughty Dog have stated that the season pass only runs up to May 13th so holders will want to move quick to pick this up.
A new Grounded Mode will be available for the single player which Naughty Dog is saying, “will be the hardest challenge you’ll ever face as you try to complete the single player campaign of The Last of Us. The AI is relentless, smart, and brutal and survival will be near impossible. “
Also available will be the reclaimed territories map pack for multiplayer bringing in the Wharf, the Boston Capitol map, the Colorado Coal Mine scene and the Lincoln Water Tower, an outdoor map that Naughty Dog say is “perfect for close quarters melee.”
This last map may well be one to try out the new Agility skill which is coming in the Situational Survival Skills bundle, this will allow you at high level to climb, vault and crouch-move faster whilst making virtually no noise. Also coming is the Professional Survival Skills bundle including a Bomb Expert skill that makes you immune to the stuns of your own smoke bombs and the Executioner skill, another one for direct melee that gives you bonus points with shiv kills and extra shiv uses. These two skill packs are included with the season pass or skills can be purchased individually. For a full rundown of the skills on offer go here
There’s also extra weapons on offer. All players will get the Full-Auto Rifle for free with the Spectre silenced assault rifle, Double Barrel shotgun, Enforcer pistol and Launcher all coming with the Survivalist Weapon Bundle.
Aswell as bringing in great praise for the singleplayer story the Multiplayer content on The Last of Us is well worth a go in our opinion.
