Manchester United veteran speaks out over the exemplary debut of one of the club's top prospects.
There are many familiar faces linked with Manchester United exits and, one player who starred at Old Trafford earlier this evening, Tuesday, during the club's 3-1 triumph over Hull City - Nemanja Vidic, played for the last time in the iconic red of Stretford, yet the most accomplished of all players on the roster, Ryan Giggs, ushered in a new era at the Theatre of Dreams…
While Giggs elected for experience in his first game in charge of the dugout, he opted for youth in his third match as Adnan Januzaj, Tom Lawrence and James Wilson all started - with every single one of the three teenagers repaying the interim manager's faith in them with exceptional performances.
There was strong link-up play involving Januzaj, Marouane Fellaini and Wilson, while the latter even scored twice!
Commenting on the debut of 18-year-old wonderkid Wilson, veteran defender Rio Ferdinand - himself potentially available for transfer away from the club - said on his Twitter account that "a brace on Wilson's debut" is proof that "dreams do come true!"
He added: "Great start to his career and well deserved!"
