Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar hasn’t held back in his assessment of Liverpool’s Premier League title challenge.
The former White Hart Lane chief Tweeted his thoughts on Liverpool this morning after missing Liverpool squandering a 3-0 lead against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park last night.
Sugar has suggested that Liverpool over the last couple of weeks have put on the perfect example of how to throw away a Premier League title, following last night’s result and the recent defeat at home at the hands of Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea.
Was really busy last night and just heard about the Palace v Liverpool game. Has got be the worst ever example of throwing away the title.— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) May 6, 2014
However, Liverpool have performed significantly better than Sugar’s former side this season, with Champions League football next year and a domestic position that Tottenham would struggle to get close to.
Liverpool will be determined to take care of business against Newcastle United this weekend as they hope for Manchester City to slip up which could create frantic celebrations all over Anfield.
