Chelsea morning news: Twist in Terry's new deal, Barca agree deal with David Luiz?

A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.

The Daily Star has reported that Chelsea have offered John Terry a one-year contract extension.

Speculation has been intense over whether the Blues were going to commit to new deals for some of their older players.

However, the paper suggests that Terry will have to accept a wage cut on his current contract, which is worth around £160,000 per week.

David Luiz is reportedly still a target for Spanish club Barcelona.

The Nou Camp side had an offer for the Brazilian rejected last summer and latest reports suggest they are still keen on doing a deal for him.

Some sources have suggested that David Luiz has already agreed a five-year deal at Barca to move there ahead of next season.

The Metro has become the latest newspaper to report Barcelona’s apparent interest in Eden Hazard.

The Belgian has been the standout player at the Blues this season, but that hasn’t stopped speculation of a bid from the Spanish giants.

Hazard was left out of the Chelsea squad which played Norwich City at Stamford Bridge last weekend.
