VIDEO: Blues target Costa in headbutt & fist fight with ex Liverpool man

If Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa does move to the Premier League next season, it looks like opposition defenders had better watch out.

There's no doubting Diego Costa's propensity for mixing it up with the roughest and toughest of opponents - just ask John Terry, who clashed with the Atletico man multiple times in the two recent Champions League games.

Equally, there is no denying that the Blues have missed a powerful forward just as able to mix it up as he is to stick the ball in the net.

But as Atletico sunk to a shock 2-0 defeat away to Levante on Sunday, in a game which jeopardised their La Liga ambitions, Costa displayed a temperament more than capable of going more than a little over the top.

Costa, who started the game on the bench, clashed with former Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko, himself a player more than happy to get stuck in. But it was the nature of the tiff that was so surprising, with Costa sending a headbutt towards Sissoko with the ref not looking, only to receive a fist to the face in exchange. The Atletico forward then, amazingly, risked what looked like a scratch across the face of his opponent.

With reports of a deal to bring Costa to Stamford Bridge as good as done, Chelsea fans have this kind of behaviour in the video above to look forward to next season, with the Spaniard looking even feistier than former favourite Didier Drogba.
