Manchester United winger Nani has agreed to join Italian side Juventus according to reports in the country.
Football Italia has picked up on a story from Tuttosport, claiming the Portuguese international has already settled on personal terms ahead of a summer transfer.
If Nani does leave United, he will be following Nemanja Vidic to Serie A, after the Serbian defender agreed to join Inter Milan at the end of his United contract.
Nani has failed to live up to the considerable hype that followed his transfer from Sporting Lisbon. In fact United fans have only seen glimpses of what the player is capable of.
A prodigiously gifted winger, he has frustrated more than he has dazzled. But a spell four years ago – when he tore apart the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City in a string of outstanding performances – showed what he can do when he puts his mind to it.
Despite only recently signing a new long-term deal at Old Trafford, the latest report claims Nani has agreed a contract worth €4million-a-year with the Italian champions.
But the one thing that may raise the most eyebrows is the suggestion that Juventus will pay United just €5million (plus performance-related bonuses) for a 27-year-old with a contract until 2018.
