Liverpool have been given a big boost ahead of their vital match against Crystal Palace this Monday.
Key striker Daniel Sturridge took part in a full first team training session today ahead of the game, as Brendan Rodgers’ men look to make up for the defeat to Chelsea last weekend.
Sturridge featured in that 2-0 defeat at Anfield with Brendan Rodgers later confirming that the forward had returned from a hamstring problem for that match with no training.
He also confirmed yesterday that the Reds would monitor Sturridge’s fitness over the 48 hours building up to the trip to Palace and the early indications are positive.
Sturridge and Luis Suarez have formed a prolific attacking partnership so far this season, which has seen the duo bag a collective 50 goals between them as Liverpool fight to take the title away from Manchester United.
It’s still slightly too early to say whether Sturridge will start this Monday but such is his importance to the side, if he pulls through training this weekend without any further problems then Rodgers may well put him straight back into the side.
