John Obi Mikel’s representative has confessed that Inter are scouting the Nigeria international.
Chelsea are expected to revamp their squad this summer, with a number of new additions set to join Jose Mourinho’s contingent.
With the new faces a few of the current players are expected to leave Stamford Bridge, with John Obi Mikel one of the current contingent that are struggling for regular game time.
The Nigeria international’s agent has confirmed that there is interest in the player – with Inter Milan said to be major suitors of the defensive midfielder.
“Inter? What I can tell you is that I’ve with my client and the leaders – there is interest in him,” John Shittu told FC Inter News.
“He is a great player, he’s won the Champions League and the African Cup of Nations so he is up to the standard for the Nerazzurri.
“Inter is a hypothesis, for now Mikel is a Chelsea player.”
With Ramires, Nemanja Matic and Frank Lampard in Mourinho’s preferences, Mikel has had limited chances to play this term.
The Nigerian has only started ten Premier League games this season.
