'This one doesn't count' - Manchester United fans review their season on Twitter

United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to review their season in four words - it doesn't make for pretty reading!

Manchester United fans have taken to Twitter to review their season so far in four words and the general feeling is one of negativity.

This season was always likely to be one of transition for the Red Devils, with Sir Alex Ferguson departing the club after 26 years in charge over the summer, but few expected it to be this difficult for them to find their feet once again.

After appointing David Moyes, United’s football was passive and uncreative and they have stumbled to seventh place in table, with the former Everton boss losing his job in the process.

The 13 times Premier League champions’ supporters are unaccustomed to these sort of displays and their reaction on Twitter today has shown just how disgruntled the fan-base is.

That said, there is hope on the horizon for United. Ryan Giggs has impressed the majority of United's fans with his comments and their tactics in the 4-0 victory over Norwich City, his first game in charge, as he adapts to the demands of being manager of the most famous club in England, albeit on an interim basis initially.

There is also optimism that their new manager, which looks set to be confirmed as Louis Van Gaal, will have an altogether more successful time than Moyes did and they will return to challenging to the title next season.

Below are a selection of some of the best summaries of United’s 2013/14 campaign.
