'Back where we belong' - Liverpool fans take to Twitter to summarise their season

Steven Gerrard Celebrates

Liverpool fans are delighted with their team's displays during the 2013/14 campaign and have taken to Twitter to express their happiness.

It’s fair to say that very few people expected Liverpool’s season to turn out like this.

At the start of the campaign, The Reds were rank outsiders to be in with a chance of winning the Premier League title – with most Liverpool fans content on just reaching the top four.

However, under Brendan Rodgers they have been a team transformed and arguably have been the best team to watch in the entire division.

Their results have been successful too. 11 straight wins, which came to an end last weekend with a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea, have propelled them into title contention and with just two games remaining for them to play, there is still optimism that the Premier League title could be coming to Anfield for the first time ever.

For this to happen they will require Manchester City to slip-up in one of their remaining games, but with Manuel Pellegrini’s men facing a testing visit to Goodison Park this weekend to face Liverpool’s fierce rivals Everton, there is still genuine hope from their supporters that they could end up on top of the pile.

Either way, the mood at Anfield is very positive at the moment and that is clear to see from the reaction on Twitter from Liverpool fans to the trending topic #FourWordSeasonReview.
