Upcoming games for Xbox – May 2014

Watch Dogs

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Xbox One are getting new games in May, including Watch Dogs and supposedly the new Worms title.

We give you the lowdown on what’s due for release in May for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. There are few big titles in the guise of the new the Spider-Man movie tie-in, Watch_Dogs, and Wolfenstein: The New Order. Unfortunately the new Amazing Spider-Man 2 game is only coming out for Xbox 360 at the moment, as there’s yet to be a solid release date confirmed for the Xbox One version of the game.

Worms Battlegrounds – 30 May

The little pink guys are back, and this time they’re going next-gen. There is pretty much nothing known about Team 17’s next worms game, no screenshots or footage have been released other than a logo, however Amazon and GAME have it down for a 30 May release, so we’ll just have to keep a look out for further news closer to that date.

Coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360

Watch_Dogs 27 May

The long-awaited new game from Ubisoft, Watch_Dogs, is finally almost here. Being able to hack your way around Chicago as hacker protagonist Aiden Pearce in this open-world sandbox game, you will take on the role of either a menace to society or vigilante, depending on your actions. Wolfenstein: The New Order 20 May

In an alternate 1960, the Nazis have won World War 2, thus ultimately taking control of the world. As Captain B.J. Blazkowicz, you are the only man who can stop them and rewrite history. The gameplay trailer below shows off some stealthy tactics, and eventually some not-so-stealthy.

Coming to Xbox 360

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - 2 May

The tie-in game of the latest movie that will see you facing some of Spider-Man’s greatest enemies. One feature of the game is the new ‘Hero or Menace’ system, which will reward your efforts depending on whether you stop crime or let it fester. The newest trailer for the game is below, check it out.

Peggle 2 - 7 May

A casual puzzle game, Peggle 2 is the sequel to the popular Peggle, in which you must clear each of the game’s levels of pegs using a ball launcher. The sequel features a multiplayer Duel Mode, so players can go head to head on the same board, taking turns to clear the pegs and decide who is the ultimate Peggle player. The game’s trailer is below for you to watch.

Bound by Flame - 9 May

A fantasy RPG that will cast you as a ‘mercenary possessed by a demon in flames.’ You have to choose between your humanity or the demonic power that resides inside you, however, choosing the latter will give up part of your soul and alter your physical appearance, letting everyone know you’re not just a man. Blood of the Werewolf - 14 May

Some 2D werewolf side-scrolling action here, with 10 different worlds, 34 monsters, and 5 boss arenas. You play as Selena, a werewolf who must get her revenge on the monsters that killed her husband and kidnapped her child. Have a peek at the trailer for the game below.

Blood Bath - 2 May

Freedom Factory’s third-person ‘blood bath’ hack’n’slash game, where you compete in post-apocalyptic arenas against ruthless opponents. The game has six different fighters, all with their own unique abilities and weapons. Take a look at the trailer below.

Kick Ass 2 – 9 May

Another game from Freedom Factory here, Kick Ass 2 is the official game of the movie, and seeing as it hasn’t been released alongside aforementioned movie it may actually be good. We hope. Trailer below, you know what to do.

Formula 1 2013: Complete Edition – 23 May

As a ‘complete edition’, the game will come with all additional content packs included. The game also features ‘classic content’, which let’s you race with cars, drivers and circuits from the 80’s and 90’s. You can see the ‘classic content’ pack in the trailer below.
