Italian Twitter users mock Mourinho: Eto'o the valet parked the bus

Italy's social media users have shown no mercy for Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho after his side's Champions League elimination against Atletico Madrid.

In the aftermath of Chelsea's 3-1 loss to Atletico Madrid, a whole range of jokes at Jose Mourinho's expense were posted by Italian Twitter users.

Mourinho won the treble with Inter in 2009-10 but was unable to deliver those kind of results this season on his return to Chelsea.

Chelsea were undone by Atletico's counterattacking master-class and the final of the Champions League will be an all-Madrid affair.

Mourinho, whose tactics have come under fire for being negative and have been labelled 'parking the bus', shouldn't look to the Italian media or public for sympathy, as he was the victim of a host of Twitter parodies last night.

"This evening Eto'o was the valet and he messed up for Mourino" one user posted in reference to Eto'o's first act as a substitute giving away a penalty, with a picture of the Chelsea team bus parked slightly askew in the goalmouth at Stamford Bridge.

Fox Sports IT posted a mocked up picture of the Chelsea team bus smashed to pieces while journalist Tancredi Palmeri posted a picture of Mourinho and Bayern Munich's Pep Guardiola with the subtitle: 'Come to my house and we'll watch the final together'.

Others were more straightforward in their criticisms: "Someone who plays Azpilicueta out of position, plays six defenders and leaves out a champion like Oscar deserves to go out. Bye Mourinho', one tweet reads.
