A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.
Frank de Boer has admitted he’s open to talking with Tottenham about becoming manager at the end of the season.
The Ajax coach has had a lot of success in the Netherlands and is being tipped as the man to replace Tim Sherwood this summer.
“They have made their interest clear to Marc Overmars [Ajax director of football] and after the last match [of the Dutch season] on 3 May I will think about this possibility,” said de Boer.
Former Tottenham star Gareth Bale says he feels his decision to leave the club for Real Madrid has now been justified.
Bale was part of the Real side that thrashed defending champions Bayern Munich 4-0 in the Allianz Arena to make the final in Lisbon next month.
“We are happy to be in the final but still have one game to go. Everybody put in 100 per cent - no matter who it was they put in a performance. This is why I wanted to come to the biggest club in the world: to win trophies in massive games,” said Bale.
The Serie A giants are thought to be keen on signing the Belgian who refused to rule out leaving Tottenham earlier this season.
However, Vertonghen wants to play Champions League football, which is something that Inter Milan may not be able to offer him.
