As the world watched on as defending European champions Bayern Munich were put to the sword by a rampant Real Madrid last night, two Manchester United heroes of yesteryear had the chance to meet again.
Cristiano Ronaldo showed Red Devils’ fans what they are missing with two goals on the night, and the Portuguese attacker embraced former team-mate Roy Keane on the sidelines.
The Irishman was on pundit duties, with Ronaldo coming over to greet the retired midfielder both before and after the game.
Keane was seen to wish the Madrid man the best of luck ahead of the clash and congratulate him in the aftermath.
The pair were on United’s books together for two years from 2003 to 2005. Ronaldo joined the Old Trafford side in 2003 from Sporting Lisbon, while Keane left United and joined Celtic in 2005.
