Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has been handed a fitness boost as four key stars trained ahead of the Atletico Madrid game.
Chelsea have been handed a huge boost ahead of the Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid.
Goalkeeper Petr Cech, defender John Terry and attacking stars Eden Hazard and Samuel Eto’o all trained ahead of the game, providing Jose Mourinho with several options as he looks to secure a place in Lisbon’s final.
Cech was reportedly going to be out for the rest of the season after landing heavily on his right elbow during the first leg in Spain. Initial reports suggested the Blues would treat the problem non-surgically in attempts to ensure Cech would be fit for the final should the Blues go through.
That first leg match also saw Terry pick up a foot problem while Hazard has been suffering from a calf injury while Eto’o has been dealing with a knee issue.
If all four players make it through training without any problems, they stand good chances of starting with Mourinho more than likely willing to gamble considering the magnitude of tomorrow’s game.
