Lukaku: Chelsea have the last word, I think they’re happy with me

The Belgium international has stated that the west London club will decide where he plays his football next year.

Just where Romelu Lukaku will play his football next season remains to be seen, with the young Belgian forward being linked with a move away from Chelsea.

The powerful attacker has been in fine form for Everton this season, but Jose Mourinho has yet to reveal his long-term plans for the former Anderlecht prodigy.

Lukaku has been speaking out about his future today and stated that he believes that the Stamford Bridge club is happy with the progress he has made this season.

"We'll see at the end of the season. I'm focusing on my performances at Everton," Lukaku told Het Nieuwsblad.

"I still have a contract until 2016 at Chelsea and I think they're happy about the way I'm developing.

"They have the last word, so we shall see what happens next."

With the future of all three current Chelsea strikers up in the air, there should be room for Lukaku at Stamford Bridge next season.

However, with constant rumours that the Blues are eager to bring Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa to London in the summer, Lukaku’s role is still unclear.
