Those Louis van Gaal rumours just keep coming, with the majority of Manchester United fans surely thinking it will only be a matter of time before the Dutchman is announced as the next permanent manager at Old Trafford.
But until that news is made official, the doubts will remain. Although if the latest report from Le10 Sport is to be believed, it will take an almighty offer to see the former Bayern Munich and Barcelona boss heading anywhere other than Manchester.
The website claims United have offered van Gaal what they call an “astronomical” offer of €10million-a-year for the next three seasons.
Le10 appear to have taken some of their information from Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, which has been bringing much of the van Gaal news to the eyes and ears of United fans across the globe. But the French publication does have its own slant, suggesting that Monaco may not have given up on the 62-year-old just yet.
Reports surfaced at the weekend that the Ligue 1 side were considering van Gaal as a replacement for Claudio Ranieri. But the latest report is unsure whether or not Monaco would be willing to offer more than United have reportedly put on the table, despite the considerable coffers of the French side.
In truth it is just more speculation, but expect it to continue until United make a decision one way or the other, and the new heir to Sir Alex Ferguson’s crown is official revealed.
