The International staffing group has won 33 awards to date, however a win in a Learning and Development category would be a first for the 8 micro-specialist brands at Phaidon International.
Pin Patel, who joined the group as Head of Learning and Development in 2012, has implemented a series of training programmes designed to maximise the effectiveness of individuals at every level of the business.
The series entitled ‘Learn to’, consists of four fundamental levels of training; Learn to Earn for trainees, Learn to Leap for consultants, Learn to Grow for Principal Consultants and Learn to Lead for Sales Managers.
'We have invested heavily in the L&D function over the last 18 months, it’s great to see this pay off and the team make such an impact. Feedback from consultants has been phenomenal and the improvement in performance is impressive', said Adam Buck, CEO.
The courses are based on the 70:20:10 model (Michael M. Lombardo and Robert W. Eichinge), which advocates that only 10% of learning takes place in the classroom, 20% through methods such as coaching and mentoring and 70% on the job.
'It’s been a challenge implementing a training series that is scalable internationally, but the results have been amazing and we’re really proud of what we’ve achieved. Winning would be the perfect end to what’s been a really exciting year, our fingers are crossed!', Patel added.
Winners of the category will be announced at the Global Recruiter awards ceremony in June.
