Credit Suisse has named Christopher Conoscenti a managing director in its oil and gas group, as the investment bank builds up its energy team in the Americas, according to a memo obtained by Bloomberg News.
Conoscenti, who was previously at JPMorgan Chase & Co., will join Credit Suisse’s Houston office in July reporting to Tim Perry and Brian McCabe, co-heads its oil and gas team for the Americas, according to the memo.
Elliott, who has worked on several prominent deals during his 35-year career, will leave the firm to spend more time on his ranch in Texas, Jeff Urwin, JPMorgan's co-head of global banking wrote in the memo obtained from JPMorgan by Reuters.
Finally, Bloomberg also reports that UBS is hiring HSBC’s William Barter as co-head of its U.K. and Ireland corporate client solutions unit.
He will jointly run the division, which excludes trading businesses, with David James, UBS said in a memo to staff obtained by Bloomberg and confirmed by a spokesman in London.
HSBC said in a memo this week that Barter is leaving the bank after a year as co-head of U.K. banking within its securities unit, and named Natalie Blyth and Alan Thomas as co-heads to replace him.
