With five consecutive defeats, manager Alan Pardew as in desperate need of a positive result as his Newcastle side travelled to North London to take on Arsene Wenger's Gunners, but the night ended in a predictable manner - another heavy defeat.
Goals from Laurent Koscielny, Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud handed Arsenal a 3-0 victory, leaving Pardew to feel the pressure once again, as Newcastle fans were understandably disappointed with yet another lacklustre display, particularly in front of goal, where the Magpies have struggled for some time.
With little to play for this season, the campaign is petering out as the summer approaches, but that hasn't stopped Newcastle fans from voicing their anger on Twitter. It's basically unanimous that Pardew should be sacked, but a popular replacement would appear to be former Manchester United boss David Moyes.
Here is a selection of tweets from Newcastle fans tonight.
