Sunday rumour mill: Juve set to ‘Pogba’ Man United again, Arsenal keen

Manchester United 3

The Daily Star suggests that the Italian giants and the Gunners are ready to pounce on Old Trafford youngster Will Keane.

One of Manchester United’s biggest mistakes in recent years was not playing Paul Pogba enough when he was at the club, with the French midfielder leaving Old Trafford to sign for Juventus.

The young star has since developed into one of the most exciting talents in the European game and just the type of player that the outgoing Premier League champions crave in their midfield.

The Daily Star today is suggesting that the Serie A powerhouses are ready to pounce on another of United’s young stars, Will Keane, while Arsenal are also keeping a close eye on the situation.

The 21-year-old’s United contract expires this summer with no news on an extended deal for the striker, who has only ever made one appearance for the Manchester club in the Premier League.

Keane has been out on loan at Wigan and is currently with QPR, while he has represented England at under-16 through to under-21 level.

If the young starlet does opt to leave United this summer there will surely be plenty of teams ready to snap him up.

Just whether major sides such as Juventus or Arsenal would make their move remains to be seen, as although talented Keane is not as much of a prospect as Pogba was.

For United, a summer of spending on new players is expected, with first-team opportunities for Keane not likely to be forthcoming any time soon.
