Mark Schwarzer 7.5/10 - The Australian veteran gathered one cross well under pressure from Suarez in the first half. Made a decent save down to his left from Joe Allen's super volley, and an important stop late on from Suarez. Kicking was excellent.
Cesar Azpilicueta 8/10 - Former Marseille man enjoyed a testing battle against Sterling, and as the game went on the Spaniard got stronger and stronger, making several key interceptions.
Branislav Ivanovic 8/10 - Led the defence fantastically well in the absence of Terry and Cahill, denying Suarez on several occasions and ensuring Kalas didn't put a foot wrong. Superb.
Tomas Kalas 8/10 - A big day for the youngster on his full debut, who made one super challenge against Sterling early on. He wasn't overawed by the occasion, and showed that he is a real defensive talent. Missed a great chance from a corner just before Ba's goal.
Ashley Cole 8/10 - The England man forced Mignolet into a sprawling save from the game's first shot. Also cleared off the line from a Liverpool corner. Though he looked nervy at times, displayed the defensive qualities he's renowned for. Booked.
Nemanja Matic 8.5/10 - Was the key man in Chelsea's destructive midfield, getting in the face of whoever was in front of him and ensuring no Liverpool player had the time to pick a pass. Dominant throughout the game and also able to bring the ball out of defensive positions to relieve pressure. What a signing the Serb has been,
John Obi Mikel 7.5/10 - These are the games Mikel flourishes in, with he and Matic proving to be a brick wall to any piercing passes from Gerrard and co.
Frank Lampard 7/10 - A little off the pace compared to the other more defensive minded Chelsea midfielders, though was able to push the ball up to Ba well. Booked.
Mohamed Salah 6.5/10 - Looked like he could do damage with his pace, though it didn't quite come off. Booked for cynical clip on Sterling.
Andre Schurrle 7/10 - Nearly added a second goal after bursting in from the left, forcing Mignolet into a full stretch save. Did some good defensive work too.
Demba Ba 7.5/10 - Was excellent considering how focused Chelsea were on containing Liverpool. The Senegalese forward worked really hard for Chelsea, full of running and a real nuisance to the Reds defenders. Quick to capitalise on Gerard's uncharacteristic error and showed good composure to beat Mignolet. Seemed to tire later on and missed a couple of chances to put teammates through.
Willian 60' 8/10 - The perfect winger to bring on and shore things up. Really used his freshness and pace well once he took to the pitch, and scored the second that was the icing on the cake for the Blues.
Gary Cahill 77' 7/10 - Brought on to ensure the clean sheet and slotted in perfectly to deny Liverpool any clear chances.
Fernando Torres 84' 7/10 - Arrived late on in place of Ba, and it looked like his only contribution would be a booking for a challenge on Skrtel until he burst through and squared for Willian.
