E.T game urban myth proves true

Atari 2600

The hunt is over! Fully intact ET games finally unearthed to prove urban myth is true

Well that didn't take them too long. It was only a couple of hours ago since they started digging in the long abandoned New Mexico landfill site for the famously buried hoard of mega flop video game E.T the Extraterrestrial on the Atari 2600.

It been hotly talked about in gaming circles for decades and its finally been proved correct. Sometimes legends do come true and this one has finally been laid to rest.

The games themselves look in remarkably good condition considering its been over 30 years since they last saw sunlight. The dig that was arranged by Microsoft is also being turned into a documentary and whilst there were no takers for the game back in the early eighties we're certain collectors will be clamouring to get their hands on one.

There are big updates and lots of images going all over Twitter you can look by using the hastags #etdig and #atarilandfill. Go and have a look.
