There will be plenty of rumours surrounding Manchester City within upcoming months after a somewhat disappointing season, but this latest story can be placed swiftly in our Transfer Bin.
According to TalkSport, the club are ready to offer Joe Hart to Tottenham as part of a stunning swap deal for Hugo Lloris.
French football expert Julien Laurens believes Manuel Pellegrini has continued to have concerns over Joe Hart – even after dropping him earlier in the season – whilst Spurs’ goalkeeper Lloris is likely to push for a move away from White Hart Lane in the summer.
The latter is growing increasingly frustrated with life at Tottenham. The 27-year-old recently hinted at his displeasure with the side, saying it would be difficult for the team to do any worse next campaign.
Hart has had an inconsistent season for the Citizens, missing multiple games before Christmas following a succession of errors. However, he has since cleaned up his act, reinstating himself as the club’s first choice. With 10 clean sheets in 27 appearances – and only 28 goals conceded – it’s been far from a bad season for the England number one.
Meanwhile, with a new manager instated at Spurs, we’re likely to see a u-turn from Lloris. Following a difficult season for Tottenham, the Frenchman’s concerns are understandable. However, a change in management could prevent him from jumping ship during over the summer.
This transfer is simply inconceivable. Joe Hart is the future of English goalkeeping – it would take a stroke of madness for Pellegrini to even consider selling him.
