Arsene Wenger has revealed that midfielder Abou Diaby has suffered another injury setback following his return to action for the under-21 side.
Diaby appeared for the first time in 13 months earlier this week but the boss has revealed he's suffered a groin problem following the game.
"He had a little groin problem after [under-21] game so will not be available on Monday," said Wenger.
He also revealed that club captain Thomas Vermalen is in line for a return to the squad this Monday, with everyone who was involved at Hull available.
The skipper has been missing with a slight hamstring problem.
"Everybody involved at Hull should be available. Vermaelen could return to the squad," said the Frenchman.
Wenger says he's excited ahead of the game because the Premier League is one of the only divisions in Europe where a tight contest is guaranteed every game.
"The exciting thing in the Premier League is that everybody fights every game."
Wenger also gave an update on the fitness of Jack Wilshere, who is fighting to get some game time ahead of the World Cup this summer.
"Jack is progressing well," the short and sharp update Wenger provided.
